Cream of Mushroom Soup

Ingredients

  • 5 heaping tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped sage
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 3 cups Wild Moon Organic Chicken or Beef Bone Broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. In a large pot, heat the butter over medium-low heat for about 4 minutes until it begins to brown.
  2. Add seasonings and sage and cook for one more minute.
  3. Add mushrooms and saute for about 5-6 minutes until they are tender and lightly browned.
  4. Stir in stock and water and bring to a simmer on medium heat, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve quickly before it cools!
